Friday Faves: Younique’s Pretentious Lipstick

Fridays are going to be the day when I share my favorite beauty products with you, and what better way to start with one of my new favorite lipsticks. I just got Younique’s Pretentious lipstick yesterday. It’s much bolder and more colorful than I usually go (I tend to stick to browns and nudes), so I wasn’t sure what I would think. The verdict? I love it!

This lipstick is a nice raspberry color and it has shimmer in it, which I love. Who doesn’t want shimmer with their makeup?! I had an MRI under sedation yesterday, and yet I just had to try this on as soon as I got it. I will be wearing it tomorrow to church.

Mani Monday: What Am I Wearing on my Nails This Week?

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my manicures with you. As you know, I’m big into indie brand polishes – especially holographic polishes – and I usually change my mani every week or so because I tend to get bored and want to wear a different color.

Today, I put on one of my favorites, Kenyan Sunset by Dreamland Lacquer. This polish was specifically made for an indie polish group I’m in, and I kicked myself for not buying it when it was on sale. Luckily, I was able to snag one someone wanted to sell, and I have never been happier.

Kenyan Sunset is a dark red linear holographic polish with purples and blues in it. None of those colors are visible unless you’re looking at your nails in light. The holo is AMAZING in sunlight. When I’m outside or driving in my car, all I can do is stare at my nails. The holo is just THAT amazing. But, really, all of Noelie’s holos are amazingly awesome. I have not bought one of hers that I haven’t loved.

I have no idea what I’ll be wearing next week. I’m hoping that my top coat will help this last a while!

Today’s Face ~ 2/12/17

I’ve been using only black eyeliner since I finally figured out the trick to making it work (I used to look like a clown when I used it!). Today, I decided to change it up and tried out my Younique Pencil Liner in Polar. It’s a nice, vibrant blue, and it paired perfectly with one of my favorite silver shadows. I really think the look turned out great. And, of course, I used my current favorite lipstick – Lime Crime Velvetine in Blondie. This is definitely a look I will use more often!
